A new perception, 3D Lightbox (Limited edition of 6)
A New Perception challenges you to look beyond the obvious. This piece plays with reality and illusion, inspired by magical realism, with René Magritte as a key influence. Like him, I explore the tension between the familiar and the impossible, questioning how our perception shapes what we see as reality.
Our unconscious beliefs define how we experience the world. The floating rock with a house symbolizes the mind, our constructed identity and the illusions of stability we create. It feels solid, unshakable, but is it really? When we shift our perception, we break free from limitations, revealing new ways of seeing, thinking, and being.
3D diorama in a lightbox: ten layers of hand cut paper art between ten layers of museum glass.
Edition: 1/6
Dimensions: 38×38cm
Materials: handmade wooden frame, paper, museum glass (minimal reflection and UV protection) backlit foil, led lights, rechargeable battery with remote control.
Note:
Extension cable included: no need to remove the work from the wall for charging
The battery will keep the lights on for approximately 24 hours.
